The Safety Data Sheet is a key communication tool in the chemical industry. While labels and pictograms provide initial indications of risks, the Safety Data Sheet provides the crucial details regarding hazards, protective measures, and safe handling.

The contents are clearly regulated by law and divided into 16 sections. Based on this information, users determine, in accordance with the Chemicals Act, which measures are necessary to protect health, the environment, and equipment.

For hazardous substances and mixtures, suppliers must prepare safety data sheets in accordance with the REACH Regulation and provide them free of charge no later than upon delivery. Under certain conditions, this also applies to non-hazardous mixtures.
