Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals
REACH is the EU chemicals regulation for the registration, evaluation, and authorization of substances. It has been in force since 2007 and serves to protect people and the environment while ensuring uniform rules in the European market.
The principle is: no data, no market. Only registered and authorized substances may be manufactured or distributed in the EU. REACH sets out clear obligations for manufacturers, importers, users, and distributors, thus ensuring transparency and safety throughout the entire supply chain.
